NASDA proposes new alternatives to rethink and implement a truly sustainable development policy, meeting the challenges facing Ghanaians and other Africans.

Our Vision

New Alternatives for Sustainable Development in Africa (NASDA) aims to improve the socio‑economic and cultural living conditions in Africa with a view to achieving sustainable and participatory development of the environment.

Objectives

  • Promote education and vocational training for young people in rural areas.
  • Revitalize, improve, and monitor education in general—and girls’ education in particular—in rural areas.

  • Improve the condition of women and girls through vocational and life‑skills training—especially for adolescent mothers in rural areas.

  • Develop and strengthen the creativity capacity of young people and all people.

  • Reform, humanize, and formalize the informal sectors.

  • Ensure protection of the environment (fauna and flora) and promote ecological agriculture (agroforestry).

  • Enhance and protect cultural heritage.

  • Build a space for African public debate to develop a collective voice on appropriate governance systems.
  • Promote mobilization, reflection, proposals, and action toward ethical, shared, and legitimate governance—foundation for human and sustainable development.
